CM4all as sponsor of Agile Cologne

von Johanna Lendzian
CM4all has proudly supported the latest “Agile Cologne” – an established and very popular conference among the agile community, held as an Open Space format. The event took place on March 22nd at the GS1 Knowledge Centre in Cologne.

Agile Cologne surely was the place to be: This time a total of 170 participants took part, with a waiting list twice as long. Despite the large crowd, all of us CM4all Scrum Masters got the chance to participate and gain valuable insights – thanks to some luck in the ticket lottery, and of course thanks to our company’s contribution to this conference.

The event began with an introduction to the Open Space format, with participants choosing the topics to be covered during the event. A total of 60 slots (one hour each) were available, almost all of them were full; for us, no easy decision which session to attend!

The main advantage of Open Space is the law of two feet, which states that you can enter or leave a session at any time. Therefore, we could visit as many interesting sessions as we wanted. Example topics were healthy workplaces, technical debts for non-IT people, metrics & protected sprint, working with remote teams and VR for Scrum events.

In the sponsored room “CM4all”, one of our Scrum Masters, Jana, led her own session entitled “Love at first sight”, covering the beginning and status of your relationship with agility. It was a very relaxed session, during which many personal experiences were exchanged.

After the feedback round at the end, we went home with many new impressions and impulses for our work. We look forward to being present at the next Agile Cologne in autumn!
